8 new COVID-19 cases reported in Malta
Healthcare worker and migrants from Ħal Far amongst newly-diagnosed patients

A close-to deserted republic street in Valletta as people continue to stay at home to prevent spread.
Eight new cases of people who have tested positive for COVID-19 reported today out of a total of 1072 tests done.
5 of the cases were reported from the Ħal Far open centre for migrants and refugees whilst the rest also included a healthcare worker.
According to the Superintendent for Public Health, the aim at this stage is to keep the transmission rate below and rate of 1.
